He developed a program that is still one of the best in the country. Anderson took over a program that was one of the best in the country and has caused the program to be one of the worst programs in the country. Comparing one of the best football coaches ever to one of the worst baseball coaches ever is ludicrous. I have know idea why Osborn continues to support a coach that has caused the baseball program to become a cellar dweller; it may be an indication that it is time for Osborne to step down.

I am full

4-12-11: Nebraska has lost six of its last nine against Division I opponents. As if giving up 10 runs was all Kash's fault. As predicted, Anderson blames the players rather then taking responsiblity for his poor coaching. Why wait until the season is over? Fire Anderson now.

Husker Baseball

There is probably NO ONE happier that the Huskers are moving to The Big Ten than Mike Anderson. The Big Ten has to be one of the worst collegiate baseball conferences around. With that being said, Anderson is keeping his fingers crossed hoping he can finish in the upper half of the conference standings. I don't believe that half of the Big Ten Conference even field a baseball team. A weak, cream-puff schedule of all the Dakota schools, plus Div. III teams from NE do NOT get a team ready for the Big 12 conference schedule. We'll see the bats go dead, over management of a poor pitching staff and empty seats again this year. That and another sub-.500 league record. With Hawks Field/Haymarket Park, I know we have one of the best - If not THE best - facilities in the Big 12, and should also rank in the top of The Big 10. It is time to branch out and find a new coach who is also THE best, and not settle for another "mediocre" one!

nebraska slide

Nebraska is picked eighth in the preseason poll of league baseball coaches. Nebraska has missed the Big 12 postseason tournament the past two seasons. Despite this lousy record, Mike Anderson remains the head coach. Nebraska fans are no longer looking forward to spring baseball. Haymarket is no longer over flowing with excited fans. Television does not show a top ranked Nebraska v another top ranked team. Anderson has been the head coach since 2003. For the past few seasons all we hear from him are excuses for his poor coaching. He even blames his own players for the bad seasons. He never takes responsibility for driving the program into the ditch. What am I missing? If this year is as dismal as the last two years, Anderson should pack his bags, and Nebraska should find another Van Horn to lead them to the Promised Land.
